About me

I am a Physical Education teacher in a bilingual secondary school in Spain, and soon in Ireland.

It hasn't been an easy journey, and I've taken many turns to get here.

When I finished my degree at 22, I moved to Dublin in search of an adventure.

At 23, the pandemic began, and I lived in a medicalized hotel while working at the University Hospital La Paz as a orderly.

Today, at 26, I will soon be registered with the Irish Teaching Council, and I will be qualified to teach in Dublin.

What is The Physical Education Lab?

I believe Physical Education is a subject with great potential to be tapped into. The sciences of health, sports, and physical activity are constantly renewing, and I think it's the duty of a good educator to stay updated and incorporate and adapt the forefront of scientific advancements into the subject. The sole aim is to create individuals with tools to face the future, staying healthy, active, relaxing their mind through concrete actions, etc. Of course, I also believe that sports, play, and fun are a very important part of the subject, but one does not exclude the other.

The Physical Education Lab is a meeting point for educators around the world, where they can find innovative and quality content to incorporate into their classrooms. From one-hour classes by teaching units to month-long projects. They will also find summaries of scientific articles related to health, which can be linked to their personal habits and those of their students. For me, the best way to teach is by one's own example.
