ToggleNeed a fast, simple basketball shooting game that builds accuracy, teamwork, and focus—without chaos or contact? Cone Circuit Shooting Race is a competitive team challenge where students shoot from a sequence of symmetrical cone spots placed along the basketball court lines. Teams work through the circuit in order, and the first team to complete every spot wins. Perfect for elementary through high school PE as a main activity, station, or end-of-class finisher.

Stay focused under pressure and keep a positive attitude.
How to Play
The first player in each team line goes to Spot 1 and shoots.
If they make it:
The team “unlocks” the next spot.
The shooter retrieves the ball, returns it to the line, and hands it to the next shooter.
The next shooter goes to Spot 2.
If they miss:
They still retrieve the ball, return it to the line, and pass to the next shooter.
The next shooter tries the same spot again (Spot 1 stays locked until someone makes it).
Continue until the team completes the final spot.
✅ Win Condition: First team to successfully make a shot from every spot in order wins.
Important detail: Teams don’t need to shoot at the same time. It’s a race against progress, not simultaneous turns.
FAQ
Is this a good basketball PE game for beginners?
Yes—because it uses simple rules, lots of repetitions, and adjustable shot distances.
How many cones should I use?
Start with 4–6 spots. Add more once students understand the routine.
What if one team is much stronger?
Give the stronger team harder spots (farther shots) or require two makes at one station.
Does it work with one hoop?
Yes—run two lanes to the same hoop with clear boundaries and a strict rebound/return routine.
